Zermatt

Location

Zermatt is located in the Southern Swiss canton of Valais. It is situated on 1'620 meters above sea level and is the highest ski area in Europe. Zermatt is regarded as a mountaineering centre and is the most famous winter sport area of Switzerland. 

Climate

39 four-thousand mountain peaks protect the Zermatt ski area against rainfall. The destinatio is comparatively mild, dry, and one of the sunniest locations throughout Switzerland.
